Rockstar’s $400 GTA 6 Collector’s Box Comes With Oakleys, a Gator and a Leonida Map, but No Game

Rockstar Games has unveiled one of its most expensive GTA 6 collectibles yet, and there is one particularly notable item missing from the box: Grand Theft Auto 6 itself.

The new GTA 6 Goodtime State, Vice City Collection costs $399.99 and contains 11 physical items inspired by Leonida, Vice City and the fictional television character Macca the Gator.

It launches on November 19, the same day as GTA 6, with pre-orders already available through the Rockstar Store while supplies last.

However, Rockstar makes the arrangement clear. GTA 6 is sold separately.

That makes this less of a conventional collector’s edition and more of a premium merchandise package designed for players who want physical memorabilia from Rockstar’s new world.

The $400 GTA 6 Collection Is Built Around Macca the Gator

The most recognizable item inside the collection is a six-inch Macca the Gator figure.

Macca comes from an in-universe television show popular within Leonida, allowing Rockstar to merchandise a fictional brand before players have even had the opportunity to explore the game properly.

The figure also contains a hidden stash compartment, fitting neatly with Grand Theft Auto’s sense of humour.

Macca appears elsewhere in the package too. Buyers receive a magnetic mirror featuring the character, while another item is themed around Chunkee the Manatee.

Rockstar is effectively treating Leonida’s fictional brands as real merchandise. That is a familiar strategy for the studio, which has spent decades creating fake companies, television programmes and products inside Grand Theft Auto.

Oakley Frogskins Are One of the Biggest Items in the Box

The collection is not limited to small display pieces.

Rockstar has partnered with Oakley for a pair of GTA 6 Oakley Frogskins sunglasses. The matte black glasses feature Prizm Sapphire lenses and GTA VI branding.

There is also a New Era 9FORTY snapback featuring Vice City and Leonida details.

Those licensed products help distinguish the collection from a conventional box of inexpensive promotional items. Buyers are getting recognizable fashion brands alongside Rockstar’s own fictional merchandise.

A Leonida Keys crossbody bag is included as well, giving the package another item designed to be used rather than simply displayed.

The Leonida Map Could Be the Most Interesting Collectible

For longtime Grand Theft Auto fans, the most intriguing item may be much simpler.

The collection includes a double-sided poster featuring the full Leonida landscape.

Physical maps have long been associated with Rockstar releases. Older GTA games famously included fold-out maps that players could study while exploring their new surroundings.

The GTA 6 poster therefore carries a certain nostalgic appeal, particularly as Leonida is significantly larger and more geographically varied than the traditional version of Vice City.

It may also give fans their clearest physical overview of Rockstar’s new open world.

Whether an equivalent map will accompany other versions of GTA 6 is a separate question. The presence of one here does not confirm what Rockstar will provide with the standard game.

Rockstar Has Included Some Very GTA Accessories

The remaining collectibles lean heavily into Grand Theft Auto’s adult humour and Vice City atmosphere.

There is a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, a collectible Vice City swizzle spoon and a razor blade shaped keychain.

Buyers also receive a Leonida Keys enamel pin set housed in a custom metal tin, along with premium stickers packaged inside a stash bag.

It is an unusual collection by design.

Instead of filling the box with generic GTA logos, Rockstar has created merchandise that looks like it came directly from businesses, television programmes and tourist shops inside Leonida.

That approach gives the package more personality, even if the asking price will inevitably dominate the conversation.

The Biggest Missing Item Is GTA 6

The collection costs nearly $400, yet purchasing it does not give buyers access to Grand Theft Auto 6.

There is no game disc or download code included.

Rockstar explicitly describes GTA 6 as a separate purchase, meaning anyone who wants both the collection and the game must budget for two products.

This approach is not completely unprecedented. Rockstar previously sold a separate Collector’s Box for Red Dead Redemption 2 without including the game.

However, the $399.99 price makes the GTA 6 package particularly notable.

For some collectors, that distinction will not matter. They are buying limited physical merchandise rather than looking for the cheapest way to obtain the game.

For others, spending $400 on GTA 6 branded products and still needing to buy GTA 6 separately will be difficult to ignore.

Availability Is Currently Limited by Region

The Vice City Collection is initially available for pre-order in North America and Europe.

Rockstar says information covering Asia, Latin America and Australia will follow later. Regional pricing and availability have not yet been detailed for all of those markets.

The collection is also being sold while supplies last, positioning it as a limited product rather than a permanent addition to Rockstar’s merchandise store.

Its packaging is substantial too, measuring approximately 48 by 34 by 32 centimetres.

This is not a small steelbook sitting beside the game on a shelf.

GTA 6 Is Already Becoming a Merchandise Business

The timing says plenty about the scale of Rockstar’s launch strategy.

GTA 6 has become more than a game release before it has even reached players. Rockstar can now sell premium clothing, accessories and collectibles built around Leonida’s fictional culture because the world itself has become part of the appeal.

The Goodtime State collection takes that idea unusually far.

Players can wear Vice City Oakleys, carry a Leonida bag, display Macca the Gator and hang a map of the state before spending much time inside the finished game.

Whether that package represents good value is ultimately a decision for individual collectors. What Rockstar is actually selling, however, is straightforward.

This is not the GTA 6 Collector’s Edition in the traditional sense of a premium game bundled with extras. It is a separate collection of physical merchandise launching alongside GTA 6.

And at $399.99, the distinction is worth understanding before placing an order.
