The continuing wave of GTA 6 leaks has entered a new phase. What began with blurry, compressed gameplay clips is developing into increasingly clear footage that offers a much better look at Rockstar Games’ upcoming open world.
The source, known online as CyberLeek, has continued releasing material despite legal pressure surrounding the leak. Recent videos show everything from an unusual vehicle accident to a nighttime flight above Vice City. One clip even contains the first direct reference to Lucia in the current series of leaks.
The footage remains unofficial and appears to originate from an unfinished build. That distinction is important. However, the improving video quality is making it easier to examine details that were difficult to see in the earliest releases.
And the leaks are not stopping.
GTA 6 Leak Shows Vice City Skyline From the Air
Perhaps the most visually impressive recent clip takes viewers above Vice City at night.
The footage is reportedly captured while flying in an aircraft, providing a broad view of the illuminated skyline below. Compared with the heavily compressed videos that initially circulated, this sequence is noticeably clearer.
Buildings, roads and city lighting are easier to distinguish, giving viewers a better sense of the scale Rockstar is targeting for GTA 6 Vice City.
The difference in presentation is significant. Remove the watermarks and other signs associated with the leak, and parts of the sequence begin to resemble material that could appear in a professionally presented gameplay showcase.
That does not mean it reflects the final visual quality. Development builds frequently contain unfinished lighting, effects and optimization. Still, the clip provides an intriguing perspective on Leonida after dark.
Strip Club Footage Reveals Detailed GTA 6 NPC Faces
Another recently released video takes place inside a GTA 6 strip club.
The environment itself is not necessarily surprising for a Grand Theft Auto game. Similar adult venues have appeared throughout the series. What caught attention this time was the detail visible on the NPCs.
The player reportedly uses binoculars to examine some characters more closely, providing an unusually clear look at their faces.
Even in footage from an unfinished build, the models appear considerably more detailed than those found in GTA 5. Facial structure, skin detail and general character quality become much easier to examine at close range.
For an open world populated by potentially thousands of pedestrians, that level of detail could make a noticeable difference.
Fans may be surprised that random NPC faces have become such an important part of the leak discussion. Yet background characters are essential to Rockstar’s attempt to make Leonida feel populated rather than staged.
CyberLeek’s Cryptocurrency Campaign Remains Controversial
The strip club footage also arrived alongside another controversial element of the leak campaign.
CyberLeek has promoted a cryptocurrency token while releasing GTA 6 gameplay footage. According to reports, the strip club video appeared after the associated coin reached a market capitalization above $3 million.
This has created understandable skepticism around the leaker’s motives.
Although the footage has attracted enormous interest, linking unauthorized material to cryptocurrency introduces financial risk for anyone choosing to participate. Neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive has any connection to or endorsement of the token.
The distinction is worth emphasizing. Curiosity about leaked GTA 6 footage does not make an unofficial cryptocurrency safe or legitimate.
A Bizarre Gasoline Crash Shows Unfinished Physics
Not every recent leak has focused on graphics.
One unusual sequence reportedly shows a vehicle travelling with what appears to be gasoline stored in its bed. The situation ends in a violent crash and immediate death, accompanied by some strange physics and sound behavior.
The scene appears to reference a real viral incident involving someone filling the bed of a truck with gasoline.
Rockstar has a long history of drawing inspiration from bizarre real-world events, internet culture and American behavior. If the sequence survives into the finished game, it would fit comfortably within that tradition.
However, the awkward physics also demonstrate why leaked development footage requires context. GTA 6 is still being polished, and bugs visible in an older build may have little relevance to the version players eventually receive.
Jason Gets an Unexpectedly Appropriate Line
Another clip offers a much smaller detail, but one that has generated plenty of amusement.
Jason can reportedly be heard saying that he needs to use the bathroom. Given that the footage itself is part of an enormous leak, the accidental choice of wording has not gone unnoticed.
It is hardly a major gameplay revelation. Still, these ordinary character moments can provide clues about how frequently protagonists comment on their surroundings and needs during free exploration.
Rockstar has traditionally filled its games with contextual dialogue. GTA 6 appears likely to continue that approach.
Lucia Is Finally Referenced in the Leaked Gameplay
More significant is the appearance of Lucia Caminos in an on-screen objective.
One leaked sequence reportedly instructs Jason to return to Lucia. This marks the first direct reference to GTA 6’s second protagonist within the current CyberLeek footage.
Curiously, Lucia herself has not appeared in the leaked gameplay released so far.
That absence has fueled speculation that the build may come from an early section of the story where Jason is the primary playable character, or before Lucia becomes freely controllable. There is no confirmation that this theory is correct.
The instruction does at least indicate that the footage intersects with a section of the game where Jason and Lucia are already connected.
More GTA 6 Locations Could Be Leaked Next
CyberLeek has also continued allowing followers to influence what footage appears next.
A poll reportedly offered several possible locations, including a GTA 6 beach, another adult venue and a nudist community. The approach has transformed the leak into an ongoing event rather than a single data dump.
That unpredictability is particularly difficult for Rockstar.
There was previously a period of roughly 24 hours without new footage, leading some observers to wonder whether the source had finally been identified. The releases subsequently resumed.
Take-Two’s Legal Hunt Continues
Take-Two Interactive is meanwhile attempting to uncover the identity behind the leaks.
The company has pursued account information involving major online services as part of its investigation. Reports have referenced efforts involving Microsoft, Discord and X as Take-Two attempts to trace accounts connected to the distribution of the material.
Interestingly, CyberLeek has reportedly claimed not to operate an account on X, raising the possibility that some profiles using the name are impersonators.
At the same time, individual leaked clips have spread rapidly across social media and video platforms. Removing every copy becomes increasingly difficult once footage is downloaded and reposted by thousands of users.
The Biggest GTA 6 Spoilers May Still Be Ahead
Despite the extraordinary nature of the situation, the actual content revealed so far has remained relatively restrained.
The footage has provided new looks at GTA 6 NPCs, vehicles, Vice City, interiors and general gameplay. It has not yet exposed a major story twist or a substantial narrative sequence.
That could change without warning.
If CyberLeek genuinely has access to a large playable build, story material could potentially be among the remaining footage. Players hoping to enter GTA 6 without spoilers may therefore need to become increasingly careful as release approaches.
For Rockstar, the timing is particularly awkward. The official GTA 6 Extended Look is due to premiere through Netflix on August 27. The clearest leaked footage is now appearing only days before Rockstar gets the opportunity to present the game properly.
Yet there remains an important difference. Leaks show fragments from an unknown stage of development. Rockstar’s presentation will show the version it wants players to judge.
After nearly a week of escalating leaks, that distinction matters more than ever.
