Players still looking for a PlayStation 5 before GTA 6 have another option that avoids paying the full console price upfront. UK technology subscription company Raylo offers PS5 hardware through monthly plans, with several different contract lengths available.

The timing is particularly relevant now. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, and PlayStation 5 is one of only two confirmed console platforms for Rockstar’s long-awaited open world game.

For anyone still using a PS4, that creates a straightforward problem. GTA 6 is not coming to Sony’s previous generation console.

Buying a PS5 outright remains the conventional option. However, subscription services provide an alternative for players who would rather spread the cost or expect to change hardware again later.

PS5 Subscription Offers Another Route Into GTA 6

Raylo’s model differs from simply purchasing a console through a retailer. Customers subscribe to the hardware and make monthly payments based on the device and contract length they select.

When GamingBible originally highlighted the service, a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with 825GB of storage was available through plans starting from £12.79 per month on a 36 month agreement. Shorter contracts carried higher monthly costs.

Raylo’s catalogue has expanded since then. It now also advertises PlayStation 5 packages that include a digital preorder of GTA 6, giving buyers the option to combine the console and game through the same subscription arrangement.

That makes the proposition considerably more relevant as launch approaches.

There Is One Important Catch: You Are Subscribing, Not Simply Buying

The lower monthly figure can look attractive, but players should understand how the arrangement works.

This is not the same as purchasing a PS5 outright and dividing its retail price into instalments.

Raylo operates a subscription model. At the end of the selected term, customers can return their device, continue their subscription or apply to upgrade to another product. The company also offers options to extend a subscription at a different monthly rate.

That distinction matters when comparing the total cost against simply owning a console.

For some players, ownership will still make more sense. A purchased PS5 can be kept indefinitely, sold privately or traded later. A subscription instead prioritises lower upfront spending and the ability to move to different hardware.

Neither approach is automatically cheaper in every situation. It depends on the contract length and what the customer plans to do with the console afterward.

The PS6 Question Makes the Timing Interesting

There is another reason subscription hardware may attract attention right now.

Sony has not officially announced the PlayStation 6, yet discussion around the company’s next console generation is inevitably growing as the PS5 moves deeper into its lifecycle.

That creates an awkward decision for anyone buying hardware specifically for GTA 6.

Waiting for an unannounced console means potentially missing GTA 6 at launch. Buying a PS5 now, meanwhile, means investing in hardware that has already spent several years on the market.

Still, there is no confirmed PS6 launch date. Any buying decision based specifically on when Sony’s next generation arrives therefore involves speculation.

GTA 6 Is Fully Confirmed for PlayStation 5

What is confirmed is Rockstar’s current platform lineup.

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC edition has not yet received an official release date.

On PlayStation, the standard edition is currently listed at £69.99 through the UK PlayStation Store. The Ultimate Edition is priced at £89.99.

The PlayStation Store also identifies the game as PS5 Pro Enhanced, meaning owners of Sony’s higher specification console can expect enhancements designed around that hardware.

Rockstar’s story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos after a seemingly straightforward criminal score goes wrong. The pair become caught in a conspiracy stretching across Leonida, Rockstar’s fictional interpretation of Florida.

Vice City sits at the centre of that world, but trailers and official material have already shown locations far beyond the familiar city streets.

Raylo Now Offers PS5 and GTA 6 Together

Perhaps the biggest change since the original GamingBible report is that Raylo’s current catalogue includes dedicated PS5 GTA 6 bundles.

Its listings include an 825GB PS5 Digital Edition with GTA 6, a 1TB standard PS5 package and a 2TB PS5 Pro bundle.

The GTA 6 component is provided as a digital game preorder. Raylo states that the console itself ships immediately, while GTA 6 becomes available when Rockstar releases the game.

That means customers do not have to wait until November to receive their PlayStation.

It is worth checking the full subscription terms before committing, particularly the selected contract period, total payments, return conditions and what happens when the agreement ends.
