Two New GTA 6 Screenshots Surface in Magazine, Offering Another Look at Lucia and Jason

Two more GTA 6 screenshots have appeared in a magazine, giving fans another glimpse at Rockstar Games’ long-awaited return to Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.

The images arrive during a period when Rockstar is becoming noticeably more open about Grand Theft Auto 6. After years of carefully controlled information, the studio has steadily expanded its marketing with trailers, gameplay footage, interviews and increasingly frequent screenshot releases.

These latest images may represent only a small addition to the growing GTA 6 gallery, but that does not make them insignificant. Every new frame offers another opportunity to examine Rockstar’s characters, environments and visual direction before launch.

Once again, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval remain at the centre of attention.

New GTA 6 Screenshots Continue Rockstar’s Magazine Campaign

Rockstar has a long history of working with magazines during the final marketing stages of its biggest games. GTA 6 is continuing that tradition, although the modern campaign combines print coverage with digital publications, social media and Rockstar’s own promotional channels.

The two new images surfaced through magazine coverage rather than arriving as part of a conventional trailer release.

That approach has become increasingly familiar during the GTA 6 campaign.

Rockstar has already supplied publications with exclusive material and developer interviews, allowing the company to reveal smaller pieces of information without relying entirely on major trailers.

For fans, the result is a steady stream of details rather than long periods of complete silence.

Lucia and Jason Remain Central to GTA 6

The continuing emphasis on Lucia and Jason is hardly accidental.

Rockstar has positioned the pair as the emotional and narrative centre of GTA 6. Official material has repeatedly shown them together during criminal jobs, quiet conversations and ordinary moments away from the chaos.

That balance is important.

Grand Theft Auto has traditionally built its identity around crime, satire and unpredictable open-world action. However, GTA 6 appears to be placing greater weight on the relationship between its two protagonists.

Jason and Lucia are not simply partners assigned to the same missions. Rockstar’s promotional material presents them as two people whose personal relationship directly influences their criminal lives.

That creates a different dynamic from GTA 5.

Michael, Franklin and Trevor had separate histories and motivations before their stories collided. In contrast, GTA 6 appears to build much of its narrative tension around two protagonists who already depend on each other.

Rockstar’s Visual Detail Continues to Stand Out

New screenshots also give players something that fast-moving trailers cannot always provide: time to study the world.

Rockstar’s depiction of Leonida has consistently shown an extraordinary density of small environmental details. Streets contain heavy traffic and varied pedestrians. Interiors feel crowded with objects. Clothing, lighting and character animations have also received considerable attention.

Still images make those elements easier to examine.

They also demonstrate how far Rockstar’s technology has moved beyond GTA 5. That game originally launched in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, even though subsequent versions dramatically improved its presentation.

GTA 6, by comparison, has been designed around much newer hardware.

The difference is visible in skin detail, hair, clothing materials, reflections and environmental lighting. Character faces also appear considerably more expressive, which could prove especially important given the focus on Jason and Lucia’s relationship.

Vice City Is No Longer Just a Neon Playground

The return of Vice City naturally carries enormous nostalgia. Rockstar’s fictional interpretation of Miami remains closely associated with 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

However, GTA 6 is not simply rebuilding that map with modern graphics.

Vice City now exists within the much larger state of Leonida. Rockstar has already revealed areas ranging from dense city streets and beaches to wetlands, smaller communities and more remote landscapes.

The broader setting gives the studio room to create sharp contrasts.

One moment may place Jason and Lucia among luxury cars, high-rise buildings and crowded nightlife. Another could take them far beyond the city into rural territory.

That geographical variety has become one of the most interesting aspects of GTA 6’s visual identity.

Why Even Two Screenshots Matter Right Now

Two screenshots would normally be a modest promotional update. GTA 6 is different.

Rockstar spent years revealing very little about the project, which encouraged fans to analyse practically every officially released image. That habit has not disappeared simply because the studio is now sharing more material.

Small details can reveal vehicles, businesses, clothing options, locations or activities that Rockstar has not formally discussed.

However, screenshots also need to be interpreted carefully.

An object visible in the background does not automatically confirm a gameplay mechanic. Likewise, a particular location appearing in promotional material does not establish exactly how players will interact with it.

The safest conclusions come from looking at the broader pattern.

And that pattern is becoming clear: GTA 6’s world is designed to feel busy, varied and closely connected to the lives of its protagonists.

GTA 6 Marketing Is Entering a Much Busier Phase

The timing of these images is equally significant.

Rockstar’s GTA 6 campaign has accelerated considerably during 2026. The company has released large batches of screenshots, new promotional artwork and substantially more information about the characters and locations players will encounter.

Magazine features have become another part of that strategy.

For Rockstar, this provides a way to keep GTA 6 visible without revealing every major surprise before release. A handful of new images can generate discussion while leaving the game’s largest missions, story turns and unexplored regions under wraps.

That balance will become increasingly difficult as launch approaches.

Rockstar Is Still Keeping Plenty Hidden

Despite the growing amount of GTA 6 material now available, the game still contains major unknowns.

Rockstar has shown considerably more of Lucia and Jason, yet much of their full story remains secret. The same applies to Leonida. Players have seen numerous locations, but promotional footage can only represent a fraction of an open world built on this scale.

That is why two additional screenshots can still attract attention.

They do not need to reveal a revolutionary gameplay feature. Their value comes from gradually filling in Rockstar’s picture of GTA 6, one location and character moment at a time.

After years of secrecy, the curtain is finally being pulled back.

And with each new image, Grand Theft Auto 6 feels a little less like a distant project and more like a game players will soon be able to explore for themselves.
